This free, educational walking tour honoring the legacy of journalist and urban design activist Jane Jacobs took place on May 3, 2026, in partnership with the Museum of Design Atlanta.
Located at the historic Legacy Park in Decatur, GA, the +/-1.3 mile route through the former United Methodist Children's Home explored the site's history and recent transformation into a regional park, providing an introduction to the wealth of non-profits, recreation opportunities, affordable housing and environmental stewardship activities.
Please enjoy the list of additional resources below that inspired and informed the walking route and discussion.
